Exceptionally brutal zombie novel. I am becoming a huge Brian Keene fan. The Rising is one of his earlier books, perhaps his first, but he starts out with a strong recognizable style that doesn't alter. This one has zombies but with a big twist which I will leave for the reader to discover. Four stars for being vastly entertaining and another half star for the zombie goldfish and the zombie bunny rabbits equaling four and a half stars.
