Necropolis is an impressive edition; nicely bound, limited and signed with atmospheric photographs of cemeteries taken by the author. The photos are the best thing about this book. John Urbancik has a suitably eerie and atmospheric style of writing. Yet his story didn't resonate with me. This short work about a group of people in a strange cemetery felt distant and disconnected. I couldn't feel anything about the protagonists and without the necessary connection, I can't say I understood the point of this admittedly well written tale. I got the feeling that I should probably try something else by this author and this story wasn't to my taste.
